I heard a comment today regarding a one stop company that does all legal work and the presenter said it was unwise to go to a company like that. Really? Thai888 Law prides itself on making it easier for the customer.
They then went on to say that they do everything? I had trouble following the presentation as it jumped from subject to subject.
I can think of many first class and expensive law companies in the Pattaya area that do everything including advertising screens and lock security boxes. These are value added services and it is great for the clients. I am all for it and I believe free enterprise and if you can get an edge on your competition then why not?
The part that made me chuckle is that Thai888 Law has 2 distinct offices that each handle very different work. Through our standard operating procedures (SOP) we can and do control all aspects of legal work in many provinces. If you have systems in place then you can complete any task no matter how complicated AND all under the SAME company banner.
Thai888 Law has expanded over the years into an international legal service. We have the people and the knowledge to deal with an overseas call from another law firm or a frantic relative wanting answers.
Don’t be misled as most of the large companies in the World have merged into a leaner, faster, more cost friendly consumer friendly organisation controlling all aspects of the product. You only have to look at your local Big C store and find that they no longer just sell food items but insurance, electrical items, household furnishings or in other words a one stop shop.
Thai888 Law offers everything to do with Legal Service. This is normal practice. If we get a job that needs a specialist Lawyer then we will retain one. However in 7 years this has never happened. Thai888 Law has grown and just last week we hired another 2 staff that are more than qualified to do the work. Most staff are law graduates and others are studying Law or accounting or another subject that fits into the Thai888 mission statement.
Our clients like the one stop principle particularly if they are calling from overseas and need an English speaking person to answer the call and give them answers to their concerns. One stop. The relief they feel knowing that they can retain our services and work with us through difficult times is enormous.
If you look through our site you will see that we take the issue and carry it through to the end. During this process we deal with local and international governments, offices, people, several different languages and bureaucracies, the police, the family and friends and much much more.
One thing that really stands out is the need for English – a presenter and their company can loose all credibility when they stand up and say excuse me my English is not so good! I understand as my Thai is terrible – that’s why we have 4 English Thai staff and 1 native Australian CEO. If we need another language we have on many occasions used a smart phone to talk and answers questions with clients. I am amazed at how well this translator works an so I give Google and Samsung the thumbs up for their R&D.
Last there is a lot of radio talk at the moment on the taboo subject of death and how to handle it. I must say that Thai888 Law is coming up to its 7th year operating in Pattaya and during that time we forged relationships with Clive Monkhouse from the Allison Monkhouse Australian Company. Many things have happened during this time and one in particular was when Monkhouse had no presence in Thailand. Thai888 Law had been using and marketing the brand for many years thus proving our contractual arrangements with Monkhouse. As there was no Monkhouse, Thai888 Law absorbed this funeral and cremation work into its offices. We put people in place in Bangkok to deal with the Police Forensic Hospital and staff are trained to deal with the Embassies. Trained in arranging and making cremations as per the families request. Even sea burials. In a word we carried on. This relationship still stands although the Monkhouse banner is no more. All funeral, cremation, embassy work is done by Thai888 Law and office 10 is set aside for this work and the CEO Kelvin Bamfield controls this and the grant of probate. And yes we have a mostly female team that can handle things in a sensitive manner.
Thai888 Law does not do fancy advertising – we rely on word of mouth and referrals from previous clients. Check out our Google reviews.
Contact us for any legal matter and we shall do our best.
Thank you PCEC for asking me to present information on Living WIlls and thank you Ren for interviewing me and keeping the pace.
Living Wills are legal in Thailand under the CCC Health Act and should be used when you are able to make one – ie competent enough to decide this is your future wish to not be resuscitated or left hooked up to several machines in a hospital.
Prolonging life under terminal illness or when brain dead is something that can be avoided if you have a Living Will in place.
Please consider it as should you make it yourself it is free. Yes Free.
Thai888 Law will always be there to assist you in every aspect of Law in Thailand. Enjoy the video and contact me if you want more email@example.com
From Phuket gazzete
on 27 March 2018, the Emergency Decree on Non-Thais’ Working Management (No.2) (2018) (“Decree No. 2”) was issued. Decree No. 2 amended Decree No. 1.
Section 70 of Decree No. 1 (and the Act) provided that “a person who is granted permission for working may not carry out the work of the type, with the employer, in a locality or on any working condition that is different from that specified in their work permit unless permission under Section 71 is obtained.”
Section 71 of Decree No. 1 (and the Act) provided that “a person who is granted permission for working, and who intends to change or add the following particulars, must obtain permission from the Registrar: (1) type of work (2) employer (3) location or (4) working conditions.”
And Section 73 of Decree No. 1 (and the Act) provided that “no person may allow a foreigner to work in a manner different from the requirements specified in the work permit.”
However, and very significantly, Section 37 of Decree No. 2 repealed Sections 70, 71, and 73 of Decree No. 1.
Furthermore, Section 28 of Decree No. 2 provides that a work permit holder may engage in any work that is not specifically prohibited to all foreigners on the “Official List” of work prohibited to foreigners.
An elderly gentleman died in his hotel room in Pattaya and when staff discovered this they contact his insurance company that then rang Thai888 Law.
I took the call as they preferred to speak English.
They requested a simple cremation as there was a small budget to be paid out through the insurance.
The deceased son flew out and I met him at his hotel in Pattaya.
Via a Samsung smart phone on Google translate we were able to make plans and carry them out to make sure his father was properly cremated and the ashes returned to Japan for a proper ceremony.
Thai888 Law staff did everything from collecting the body and the death certificate from Bangkok, to transferring the body to the temple for cremation. Water, flowers, coffin, urn were all supplied.
Only 6 people attended and all of these things were done through the smart phone.
Thai888 Law Company can write your Will, do Probate, repatriate your assets to family, friends and charities.
Now we can offer sea burials to dispose of the ashes in a beautiful way.
Check this out (CLICK HERE) – a good friend and client passed away in the UK and his ashes were brought back to Thailand as he lived on and off here for years.
A short video shows all. Enjoy and contact me if you should require a Will, Probate, repatriation etc
There was a UK service and Kay brought back some ashes. Click here for video
Our memory of Jamie is strong as we used to do beach pizza every week

Sad news for us at Thai888 Law Company when a friend passed away in the UK at the age of 54.

When Jamie was in Pattaya we always met him down the beach for our Friday pizza and drinks
This is Jamie on one of those nights – with iphone in one hand and a Singa beer in the other
Go well Jamie
I just found a way to get my wordpress site verified. I thought it was however now we should see more traffic and it will be easier for you to find us.
Primarily a Law office at number 12. There you will find qualified lawyers and para legal staff to assist you in criminal, civil, consumer, company and family law.
Office 10 you will find qualified people to deal with making you last and living Will and Testament. Guiding you through the funeral and repatriation process and Probate where the Will and the Executor is approved by the Thai courts to later repatriate your body, ashes and assets back to your home country.
Thai888 Law has been doing this for many years and were associated with Allison Monkhouse Australia – Sadly Monkhouse is no more and so Thai888 takes this responsibility.
BTW our CEO is an Australian and so there are no language issues. In fact he receives many inquiries from all around the World and works mainly on international probate issues.
If you have never experienced probate then you are fortunate as it can be a very lengthy, frustrating, stressful event. That is why Thai888 Law has 2 offices creating a one stop office to handle all your needs and issues.
Many times clients make a few calls and we do everything from start to finish, as some relatives are old or sick or to tied up in their work to travel to Thailand. On top of that they don’t know the language and will need our services for law and translation anyway. This is why we have built a solid reputation for dealing with all these issues. A few calls and all is done.
A 5 star rating on Google shows this.
